Sears Robuck for 25 years

My name is Carmen Romano, I was in S 6 division. CVS 20

I am from Rancocas Woods, Mt. Laurel N.J. After Big Ben I worked for Sears Robuck for 25 years. Lost my leg to diabetes, had a few heart attacks, and two strokes and was forced into early retirement. I blame it on the stinking coffee we made in S-6 back room. The stuff was murder although it did serve its purpose, keeping us awake for poker games in the mess-hall storage rooms below deck. Oh yea...Vietnam too. By the way Bill, since we served at the same time, Was the USS Obrien out there with us and did it get hit or loose some guys? because I remember everybody available pulling duty on the hanger deck when we shot a line to the Obrien and started taking on ?? I don't know what, and storing it in our food freezers. I don't know what it was but it sure as he-- wasn't food. Memory could use a little jar. Didn't you guys in V4 loose a guy to prop hypnosis. I remember that happening cause I slept below the rear gun tub. He worked on flight deck duty and was a short timer.

By the way, The Bennington was also the featured ship at the beginning of every chapter of "The Wackiest Ship in the Army" Trouble is when they were having all those wacky times we were on the ship working our a-- off.

Thanks
Carmen Romano S-6
