The CIWS can be seen just aft of the stack.
The CWIS wasn’t installed until 1981.

The picture of the U.S.S. Sacramento AOE-1, referred to as the Benningtons Gas Station.
Under the picture the caption estimates the picture is circa 1965 I believe.
The Sea Sparrow Missile system wasn’t installed until 1978, and the CWIS wasn’t installed until 1981.
I guess I’m just being picky.

But David, The Bennington was DECOMMISSIONED January 15, 1970.
Maybe the following photo is a better view of the proper time, 1966.
