He was a member of the crew of the USS Bennington from 58-62. He is a retired electrician from the Pa. electrical generation supplier Metropolitan Edison based in Portland, Pa. where he served 34 years, his only job! He is married to Rose Marie, 41 years this June. He also has three children, Alfred J., Stephen M.and AnnMarie. He also has three grandchildren, Kyli M.,Erika M. and Jonah A. I speak on behalf of my brother and sister in saying that he is a role model and inspiration to us and is always at our side. We are a very close family and in the center of that axis is our parents. We are very lucky in this day and age to say that we were brought up with values and to respect others. We try to instill those values into our children, and hopefully on to our own grandchildren.
