I reported to her on 17 November, 1967 from NAVCOMSTAPHIL. I don't sapose your the same Marshall who was my Com. officer, Lieutenant Commander Marshall ?? Anyway, after what I think was Bennington's last WestPac Cruise, I cross decked to the Hornet, releiving carrier on 26 Oct. 1968. I was discharged from the Hornet in Oct. of 69. Looking back, what I seen standing there on pier echo in Long Beach still gets to me.............both the Bennington and the Hornet tied up stem to stern. The two best ships the Navy every had, as far as I'm concerned !! Eric Singley CYN3 998 84 24
