These guys are getting ready for some fun.
Can anyone identify the two wearing the Navy uniforms?

OK, this week's picture of the week is direct from the Captain Howell Archives!

There is a story behind this picture, although one of the girls are Miss Santa Monica 1965, it is actually May 1966. (I guess Miss 1966 hadn't been picked yet.) The ship anchored out in Santa Monica Bay for Navy w/e. and had open house and tours all weekend. The liberty was great, well.................................. for some of us. Let me assure you, not ALL of the girls in Santa Monica looked like these 2. Let's just say I have a story to tell, which I will ony tell on my death bed, if then, or after awhile in the hospitality room at the reunion. (Thanks, Frank Sporkman, whereever you are!!)

(Did you ever hear the story about waking up with someone, and wanting to chew your arm off rather than wake them up to get them off your arm?)

ANYWAY........... does anyone know these lucky 2 sailors from 1965?
