Thanks for the memories

Bob Hope

In August 2000, I contacted Bob Hope and he sent this autographed picture.
I took it to the reunion in Nashville for all that attended to see.
It says:
"To all the guys on the USS Bennington, my best wishes,Bob Hope"

Thanks for the memories……………………………………

Where were you Christmas 1966?

If you were on the USS Bennington, you were off the coast of Viet Nam, on the flight deck watching
The Bob Hope Show, 1966 Viet Nam Tour.

If you were home, you were probably watching the hour long special on television.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see it again?

See Bob Hope land on Bennington in an HS 8 helicopter, with Phyllis Diller, Joey Heatherton, the Korean Kittens, watch Anita Bryant sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic in front of the island.

This is an hour long show, taking place in Da Nang, and Saigon, Viet Nam, on Guam, Wake Island and on the USS Bennington.

NOTE: The portion filmed on Bennington lasts 5 minutes.
For the first time, since the broadcast, this TV Special is now available on video.
Whether you were on Bennnington then or not, here is a chance to own an
Exclusive video of the Bob Hope Show, Entertaining The Troops.
For $12 ( plus $3 shipping and handling) you can add this video to your collection.
In August, I contacted Bob Hope and he sent this autographed picture. I took it to the reunion in Nashville for all there to see.
