1968 - We Went To Singapore

On one of my two cruises, we went to Singapore. I think it was in 68 or 69. For those who were there you can correct the year.....anyway when we got there me and three buddies.. Dave Weber, Paul Pennington and "Lupe" LePage.. went to town... I remember thinking on the bus to town how nice it was they named the road which was Stuart Road after me. When we got there there was nothing, absolutly nothing to do so we went to the British Club. The big deal there was they had these little race track cars like little kids play with... then we went to this one resturaunt and decided to have some fun with the waiters... It was a fairly "upscale" Brit type of joint with about four Singaporeian waiters and NO CUSTOMERS there at all, ,just us. The menue had, believe it or not, hot dogs on it. I orderd just one and water.. the other guys said they hadnt decided... when my dog came.. Dave said he wanted the same thing and the others said they hadent decided when his came. Same deal for Paul and then the same for Lupe. All the dogs one at a time then...... the same round robin again... by this time even the waiters had a good time.... just goes to show if you are at sea long enough, it dosent take much to have a good time......
